Behavior Modification Curriculum: Action Plan
Action Plan:
Your beliefs for classroom management: I believe it is important to remember that all of the students are human beings first; mistakes can occur and thats okay. They all require time to learn something and can be encouraged to work harder.
Main rule: Try in everything you attempt
Procedures:
attendance- show up on time and send email if you wil be absent
assignments- at least try on every assignment and be open to the material being presented
classroom etiquette- raise your hand when you have something to say/ask; always sit in assigned seat when in classroom; put everything back where you found it; walk to and from classroom in one single file line
One day schedule:
8:00-8:45: math lesson
8:45-9:00: small break, switch to writing
9:00-10:00: writing workshop
10:00-10:45: group work regarding previous two subject lessons
10:45-11:45: dance class/gym
12:00-1:00: Lunch
1:00-1:30: free time/ study hall
1:30-2:30 science lesson
2:45: dismissal
10 Classroom procedures:
1) participating in group lessons
2) lining up
3) entering the classroom
4) exiting the classroom
5) beginning the day
6) end of the day
7) organizing your desk
8) throwing away trash
9) using the drinking fountain
10) what to do during free time
Minute by minute:
10:45-11:45: dance class/gym
10:45-10:50: walk into studio and go to assigned spot at the barre
10:50-11:10: barre exercises following my instruction (plies, tondues, degages, battements, barre stretch)
11:10-11:30: learn new ballet steps (example: fondues, pirouettes)
11:30-11:40: presentation & video of the new material learned
11:40-11:45: closing reverance
Positive consequences:
free and frequent- smiling, encouraging words/praise, clapping for them
intermittent- choosing between two exercises, stickers
strong/long term-
Correcting behaviors:
Level 1- tell them verbally to stop
Level 2- talk to student and ask about their behavior; tell them next time you will call home
Level 3- call parents/home
