Teaching, Mentoring, Coaching

  1.  Teaching: helping an individual learn basic concepts and key points to perform a certain process Coaching: helps the practitioner adjust their performance based on the experience; improve efficiency Mentoring: focuses on an individual's path for fulfillment 2. It is important to know the difference between these terms because each approach is tailored towards the intended goals. As a mentee: - set clear goals you want to achieve with help from your mentor - be proactive & put effort into the mentor-mentee relationship - go in knowing what you want to accomplish and understand you are receiving advice; do not imitate everything mentor says

I believe it is imperative to understand the mind body connection that is required to learn and execute dance. I would use a multitude of teaching methods such as physical movement, presentations, videos, and spoken lessons. Most importantly, I would want students to physically learn dance technique. I can assist them by teaching them the knowledge and provide useful feedback to develop their understanding of the techniques. I do not expect perfection from any student, but I just want to see them improve and share my passion of dance with them. Hopefully, they can feel inspired like I once did and perhaps pursu...
